German manufacturer BMW revealed the first official details and photos with the production GT model 5 Series. As was expected, BMW 5 Series GT not differs greatly from the concept presented for the first time in March in Geneva.
As can be seen in photos, the new model can be considered a “synthesis” between the forms of a sedan, wagon, coupe, SUV and a MPV.
However, BMW calls it SAV (Sport Activity Vehicle). Both outside and inside are influenced by the new 7 Series. BMW 5 Series GT was developed on the same platform that will benefit the next generation 5 Series, and measures 4998 mm in length, 1901 mm in width and 1559 mm in height.
Regarding the range of motor, it will be composed of three engines: two petrol – 3.0 twin turbo 306 HP for the 535i and 4.4 GT V8 twin turbo from the 550i CP 408 GT – and one diesel – the 3.0 turbo diesel 235 HP 530d for GT.
The new BMW 5 Series GT will be presented to the public in the autumn, at Frankfurt Motor Show.
