Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a great rival for Audi R8, Maserati GranTurismo, Porsche 911, and many more.
According to Aston CEO Dr Ulrich Bez, the changes demonstrate Aston’s ongoing commitment to “continuous development and improvement of the cars where lots of little changes make a big overall improvement“.

Nobody would argue against the claim that the biggest changes to the new Vantage are mainly under the bonnet. The engine has been increased from 4.3 to 4.7-liters and as such now boasts 420bhp (from 380bhp) and also more grunt (346lb/ft versus 302).

That’s reduces the 0-60mph time to 4.7 seconds and take the top speed to 180mph. Aston wanted to address some of the criticisms of the old car which sometimes needed to be worked hard to get the best from it. Instead, the changes are intended to make the V8 engine more flexible and usable on a daily basis, making it similar, one might argue, to the Porsche 911.
