UPDATE: 50,000 2021 Nissan villains affected by bad crash score in the works
Nissan is committed to vehicle safety and is happy with the Nissan Rogue’s 4-star NC safety rating for 2021. All 2021 rogue vehicles are fully compliant with federal safety standards.
Nissan is known to have the two-star NC rating for passenger safety on 2021 rogue vehicles assembled at Nissan’s manufacturing facility in Kyushu, Jan. 28, 2021. Nissan has updated the passenger restraint system for all 2021 Rogue vehicles assembled at the Nissan Smyrna, Tennessee plant and all vehicles manufactured at the Kyushu plant after January 28. Therefore, the two-star passenger safety rating only applies to vehicles manufactured at the Kyushu plant prior to January 28th.
To ensure customer confidence and satisfaction, Nissan will soon launch a service campaign to update 2021 rogue vehicles manufactured in Kyushu before January 28, 2021. Owners will be notified when they need to update their vehicle.
The passenger safety systems in the vehicles that have received the update have yet to be tested by NHTSA. An additional test of the 2021 Rogue is planned. The results are expected in May.
