Volvo has relieved the XC60 facelift, which now comes with a revised exterior design and more technology inside, as part of the update. The XC60 was Volvo’s top-selling model in 2020, with nearly 2,000,000 units sold, accounting for nearly 29% of Volvo Cars’ total sales. Inside, Volvo has updated the infotainment system with a new Android-based operating system developed in collaboration with Google. It of course allows access to google ps like google ms and even third party services like spotify which can be synced with other devices via a user account. According to Volvo, it offers a true “smartphone-like” experience.

Volvo has launched a new Digital Services package for this system. This may be offered for all models with a system. The package enables access to Google ps, the Google Assistant, Volvo on Call p, charging the mobile phone and “all the data” required to run the service.

The interior of the XC60 has also been updated with new materials. These include leather-free options as well as City Weave fabric upholstery. Some safety improvement has been made with the latest Volvo Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Volvo XC60 Powertrain Options

The pre-facelift Volvo XC60 currently for sale in India is powered by a single 2.0 liter diesel engine that comes in two states – 190 hp and 235 hp. With this upcoming facelift, however, the XC60 will become a pure gasoline model in India, as the automaker is planning a gasoline and an all-electric range in India from 2022.

The facelift of the Volvo XC40 is therefore powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine. However, the exact condition of the engine in India has yet to be confirmed. Internationally, Volvo has this engine in three states – T4 (190 hp, turbocharged), T5 (250 hp, turbocharged) and T6 (310 hp, turbocharged and compressor).
