Godzilla versus Kong makes waves on HBO Max, but Nissan is about to do the same with its own version of Godzilla. The Nissan GT-R NISMO Special Edition was recently unveiled in Yokohama, Jan and is a beauty!
The photos above show what the Nissan GT-R NISMO Special Edition looks like in Stealth Gray with a carbon fiber hood and forged 20-inch RAYS aluminum alloy wheels.
Engine & powertrain
Under the hood is the GT-R NISMO’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 VR38DETT with 600 hp and 481 lb-ft. of the torque. According to Nissan, key components such as piston rings, connecting rods and crankshafts have been designed with tighter tolerances for faster engine speeds and turbo coils. As with every GT-R, the engine is hand-assembled by master technicians known as in a special clean room Takumi. Each Takumi technician signs his name on a nameplate on the engine.
Prices & availability
Limited numbers will be available in North America this fall. Pricing is expected in the near future. At the moment a 2021 Nissan GT-R The premium starts at $ 113,540 while the GT-R NISMO is priced at $ 211,000. We can assume that the NISMO Special Edition will probably cost more money than the “normal” NISMO.
