Is Audi’s turn to visit 2011 LA Auto Show

The clock is ticking and you only have a couple of days left until the 2011 LA Auto Show ends. So you should definitely not miss the latest news about the hottest cars.

Today’s super car is Audi e-tron Spyder which has definitely made my day. Featuring  a twin-turbo 3.0 liter V6 diesel powerplant and two electric motors, this Audi can reach 60 mph in only 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph.

Despite of the relatively big engine that produces 385 horsepower and 739 lb-ft of torque, this hybrid passes the test of fuel efficiency without too many problems. Being half diesel half green, the maximum distance supported by the electric power alone is 30 miles. And if you combine them you will get an average of 2.2 liters/100 km.

If you think this is too good to be true, think again because we also have bad news: the car will enter the production line in 2014 and costs approximately $2.7 million.

Well, we still have time until 2014, so let’s hope for the best!
