Porsche presented another hybrid at the Geneva Motor Show. This is called 918 Spyder and has a propeller of 500 hp V8 and two electric engines which together are providing 218 hp.

Porsche presented concept called 918 Spyder at the Geneva Motor Show. The model is a hybrid that emits just 70 grams CO2 per kilometer. The appearance of this model is inspired by Carrera GT, and under its hood lays a 500 hp V8 with a pair of electric engines that provides a total of 218 hp.
Like the Toyota Prius, Porsche 918 Spyder is a full hybrid, so can travel a long distance with only limited power.
Porsche 918 Spyder has four different ways of running for the two trains’ powered possession. So, the driver can opt for maximum performance or for maximum efficiency, but also for the other two modes are framed between the two extremes mentioned above. Hybrid mode combines both drive trains for optimum fuel economy and Sport mode Hybrid offers extra performance. As first information, we can tell the Porsche 918 Spyder can go through up to 26 km in electric mode 100%.

People from Porsche announced that the new 918 Spyder is able to do a Nurburgring lap in less than 7 minutes and 30 seconds on Hybrid Race mode.
