Buyers who have ordered a Ford Mustang Mach-E experience delivery delays as the automaker works to resolve quality issues. In a gesture of goodwill, Ford is now offering some Mustang Mach-E buyers additional free fees or even $ 1,000 in cash to make up for delivery delays.
An email about the signature of Andrew Frick, Ford Vice President of Sales, was sent to around 4,500 Mach-E buyers. The email says:
“Thank you for placing your trust in Ford Motor Company and for taking the first step towards an electrified future by ordering your Mustang Mach-E. We are all delighted to have you as our customer, and we believe that you are deserve a great purchase and owner experience.
This is why we’d like to take a moment to let you know about some of the challenges we face in meeting demand and delivery time for the Mustang Mach-E. We continue to build and ship vehicles every day, but we do so with great attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Your vehicle timing has been affected by more than one of these quality checks.
We know you really want to drive and experience the 0-60 thrills, zero emissions and more of the Mustang Mach-E. Because we believe customers should be treated like family, we are making a $ 1000 private listing of your Mustang Mach-E at your Ford dealer at the time of delivery. Your dealer is aware of this unique offer. If you’ve already received your shipment, you can contact Ford at the number below to take advantage of this offer. We offer you an additional 250 kWh of additional direct current fast charging.
Your Mustang Mach-E comes with 250 kWh and you have an additional 250 kWh for a total of 500 kWh of free charging at the Electrify America fast charging stations on the FordPass Charging Network.

However, some buyers received a similar email without mentioning a $ 1,000 offer. They only got the additional free top-up.
Quoted in torquenews.comFord spokeswoman Emma Bergg said the difference in the offers is related to the length of the delivery delay. However, Ford has not disclosed what quality issues it has with the Mach-E.
