BMW has received the 10 Best Engines Award for propelling revolutionary BMW Advanced Diesel with capacity of 3.0 liters, in a festivity held at International Auto Show in Detroit.

For the model range of 2010 and for the second consecutive year, the diesel engine with six-cylinder twin-turbo technology was chosen on sequential list “10 Best Engines” by Ward’s Autoworld jury. To occupy a place on the list “10 Best Engines”, an engine must to record high scores in terms of power, torque, refinement, technology and comparative data. This distinction is even more valuable in the context in which the premium manufacturers make significant efforts lately to open U.S. market to diesel technology.

In addition to the 335d Sedan, BMW Advanced Diesel engine is available and X5 Sports Activity Vehicle segment xDrive35d, which record acceleration 0-100 km / h in 6.9 seconds and has an extra consumption of 9.05 litres/100 km.
