After the BMW M340i, the Audi S5 Sportback India will start on March 22nd
Earlier this month Audi The S5 Sportback has been officially teased for India, and now the automaker has announced that the sporty four-door coupe will be launched in our country on March 22, 2021 Audi S5 Sportback Debuted in a new guise worldwide at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. While it will be offered in international markets with six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, the Audi S5 Sportback will be a pure gasoline model in India. This is especially exciting as it will follow shortly after the recently launched one BMW M340i.
However, the interior remains largely unchanged compared to the standard A5 sedan. The only update on the inside is limited to the new 10.1-inch MMI infotainment system, which can only be controlled via touch input. The swivel wheel has been abolished and Audi has thrown in a couple of nifty cup holders in its place. It is also equipped with Audi’s virtual 12.3-inch cockpit system. There are also a couple of ‘S’ badges and carbon fiber embellishments to spice things up further.
The Audi S5 Sportback is also available overseas as a 3.0-liter diesel engine. It won’t come to India here, however, as it doesn’t fit into Audi’s gasoline / electricity strategy for our country. In contrast to the BMW M340i, which is assembled on site, the Audi S5 Sportback will come to our coast as a full import. It is expected to have a price of around 75 lakh INR (ex showroom) and will also take over the price Mercedes-AMG C43 Art from the BMW.
