2022 Ford Super Duty receives new tech & styling updates

Work smarter, not harder. That’s the idea behind the latest technical updates for the 2022 Ford Super Duty. To complement the new range of interior technology, Ford is offering various styling packages and exterior colors for the 2022 Super Duty. Super duty truck owners rely on their vehicles to do some of the roughest, dirtiest jobs, but there’s no reason you can’t look your best while enjoying cool tech in the process. At least according to Ford.

They also work smarter, ”said Todd Eckert, Marketing Manager for the Ford Truck Group. “By introducing SYNC 4 with a larger 12-inch screen and 24/7 cloud connectivity for their truck and mobile devices, we’re continuing to help our customers improve their game and get the job done with targeted technology. “

Tech & Connectivity Updates

The Super Duty’s new 12-inch center touchscreen, which Ford calls landscape-oriented, is standard on Lariat and above. While the screen can be split to support different functions like navigation and audio at the same time, Ford has also added physical buttons below the screen. According to Ford, the new touchscreen supports SYNC 4, which now offers twice as much computing power and updated speech recognition technology.

SYNC 4 enables wireless use of Ple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as all functions SYNC pLink ps. Assuming you forget something about your new Super Duty, don’t worry. A digital instruction manual is available through the new SYNC 4 system. In addition, the 2022 Super Duty is available with a variety of standard and optional Co-Pilot360 functions.

“These additions build on the most important updates we made for 2020, and we are working hard to bring our hardworking Super Duty customers the best in cability and productivity every day,” said Eckert.

New pear packages

Ford is offering two new styling and pearance packages for the 2022 Super Duty. The Lariat Sport pear package These include body-colored bumpers, exterior mirrors and grille, as well as a chrome-plated exhaust tip and black platform running boards. Meanwhile it is Black pear package is now available for the Super Duty XLT. The package contains 20-inch wheels in ebony black, bumpers and grille in body color, and 6-inch running boards in ebony black – even the outer Ford ovals are black.

The new interior and exterior colors available include a Baja interior for the Lariat, Navy Pier and Light Slate interior for Limited, and an Atlas Blue exterior color. The Tremor off-road package will also be available for the 2022 Super Duty.

Powertrain specifications

The 2022 Ford Super Duty is available with either a 7.3-liter petrol V8 or a 6.7-liter power stroke diesel. The 7.3-gas V8 develops 430 hp and 475 lb-ft. Torque, while the 6.7 Power Stroke delivers 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft. of the torque.

When properly equipped, the 2022 Ford Super Duty will tow a maximum of £ 37,000. (Gooseneck), 32,500 lbs. (Fifth wheel) and 24,200 lbs. (conventional). If properly equipped, the maximum payload is 7,850 lbs.

2022 Ford Super Duty availability

The 2022 Super Duty will arrive at Ford dealerships this summer. The truck is manufactured at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky and the Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, Ohio.
