If you want your daily driver to look like an SUV, a sedan, an elongated coupe and a wagon at the same time, then the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo is for you. No matter what you call it, don’t call the Taycan Cross Turismo late for dinner. And while this term is often used colloquially, we could go for it here in the literal sense. The Taycan Cross Turismo will never be late because it is (in the words of my colleague Tony Borroz) quickly with a Cital F!
This Porsche family has four different equipment variants: Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, Taycan 4S Cross Turismo, Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo and Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo (ie the fast one). Here’s a closer look at the range of models, including standard features, performance specifications, and prices.
An 800-volt battery architecture and Porsche’s Adtive Suspension Management underpin every Taycan Cross Turismo variant. The “Performance Battery Plus” from Porsche is standard. The Taycan Cross Turismo comes with a battery with a larger capacity. Each model has two-engine all-wheel drive, a two-speed rear-wheel transmission, attractive aerodynamics and a panoramic glass roof.
The Porsche PCM system with navigation, infotainment and charging systems is standard. Three years of Porsche Connect Service are free. The tech and connectivity suite supports things like wireless Ple CarPlay, Ple Music and various wireless updates. In addition, a three year free top-up from Electrify America is included.
There are numerous optional functions for the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo. As for the exterior, a special off-road design package includes 20-inch wheels, while 21-inch wheels are also available. A rear-mounted bike rack is available from Tequipment for these weekend trips. Inside, drivers can equip their Taycan Cross Turismo with massage seats, a heads-up display and audio systems from Bose and Burmester. Various safety systems such as adaptive cruise control, active parking assistance and active lane keeping are included in the optional Porsche InnoDrive package.
Zero to 60 times
The Porsche Taycan recently secured that Indoor speed record in New Orleans. The Taycan Cross Turismo is also quick on its feet. The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo and the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo achieved 60 miles per hour in 3.9 and 4.8 seconds, respectively. The Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo will do the same thing, but in 3.1 seconds. And of course the Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo is the fastest in the pack, sprinting to 60 in just 2.7 seconds.
When exploring North 40, the standard Gravel model will come in handy. The gravel mode increases the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo by a further 10 millimeters and adapts the suspension and traction control systems to improve grip on unpaved surfaces.
Prices & availability
The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo starts at $ 92,250, including the target fee of $ 1,350. Expect the Taycan Cross Turismo at Porsche dealer this summer. According to Porsche, the EPA range numbers will be available at that time.
