The 1965 Pontiac GTO was a favorite for the Pontiac LeMans. The car suffered some body modifications, including stacked headlights, single hood intake, recessed grilles, wrap-around tail lights, and a single hood intake. It could have been ordered in three different body styles – hardtop, sport coupe and convertible. Standard options included bucket seats, special exterior trim, air cleaners, dual exhausts, a 3-speed manual transmission, and a 389ci engine (optional Tri-Power) that was capable of delivering 335hp at 5,000 rpm (the Tri-Power was rated 360hp at 5,200rpm).

The 1969 Ford Mustang ‘Boss 429’ received a forged steel crankshaft, four-bolt mains, a big-port, staggered-valve aluminum heads with combustion chambers shaped in a crescent form, an aluminum high-riser, a 735-cfm Holley four-barrel with ram-air, and header-type exhaust manifolds. Its engine could produce an output of 375hp at 5200rpm, and the car could sprint from 0 to 60mph in 6.8 seconds.

The 1970 Plymouth Hemi-Cuda was available for purchase in two body styles – coupe and convertible. The car’s performance options included fog lamps, Rallye wheels, rear spoiler, rear window louvers, hood scoops, shaker scoop, Hurst pistol grip shifter, and various exterior colors like TorRed, In Violet, Lemon Twist, Lime Light and Vitamin C. The 8-cylinder engine could deliver 450bhp and 500lb-ft of torque, through a 4-speed manual transmission or 3-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission. It could sprint from 0 to 60mph in 6.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 117mph.
6. 1969 Chevrolet Z28 Camaro
The 1969 Chevrolet Z28 Camaro was a very desirable muscle car, although it was not the fastest one. It had a single season styling, as well as a unique combination of exhaust, brake, engine and induction options. The car came with a solid-lifter 302-cid V-8 engine, and an 850-cfm four-barrel carburetor, producing 290hp at 5,800rp, and accelerating from 0 to 60mph in 7.4 seconds. Available options for purchase included twin 600-cfm Holleys on a cross-ram manifold, a cowl-induction hood and positraction.
5. 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C
The 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C featured a V8 water-cooled engine that could deliver an output of 485hp at 6,500rpm and 510lb-ft at 3700rpm of torque, a 4-speed manual transmission, cast-magnesium Halibrand wheels, and a single Holly four-barrel carburetor induction system. The car could go to 60mph from nothing in 4.5 seconds, at a top speed of 165mph.
4. 1968 L88 Corvette
The 1968 L88 Corvette had an engine which consisted of an iron block with aluminum alloy heads, and had a displacement of 427 cubic inches, or seven liters. Featuring a large 850 Holley four-barrel carburetor, optional four-speed manual M22 Rock Crusher transmission, a F41 heavy-duty suspension and positraction differential. The car could produce 430hp at 5,200rpm, and 460lb-ft of torque at 4,000rpm. The 0-60mph sprint could be done in 6.8 seconds, at a top speed of 155mph.

The 1970 454 Chevelle SS was a powerful muscle car that came with 360-bhp hydraulic-lifter 454, a 800-cfm Holley four-barrel on an aluminum manifold, forged steel crank and connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, solid lifters, four-bolt mains, and deep-groove accessory pullies. You could either choose from a 4-speed automatic transmission or special Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The car could release 450hp at 5,600rpm, and 500lb-ft of torque at 3,600rpm, reaching 60mph from 0 in 6.1 seconds.
