If you won the lottery tomorrow, you’d know exactly what car you would be buying first, don’t you? Is it Ferrari? Or maybe a Cadillac? Hey, if you win the lottery you can probably afford a few of each! Everybody has a different preference when it comes to their favorite car. Some people want a car that has great acceleration, meanwhile others prefer to go for something that looks stylish and looks over substance.
A recent article by therichest.com ranked the following cars as the top ten most wanted cars of 2016:
- Ford Mustang GT Coupe
- Ford Focus RS
- Nissan Maxima
- Acura NSX
- BMW 2 Series M235i
- McLaren 570S
- Audi R8
- Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
- Cadillac CTS-V
- Ferrari F12 TDF
For some, the name of these high-performance cars does nothing for them, and they may think of Nissans or a Ford Focus. While they are not renowned for being high-performance or too desirable, there seems to have been a shift in the car market and what is in demand. The ranks of the usual desirable cars are being broken, with these low-key manufacturers rising in popularity.
The manufacturers have put huge efforts into the interior, the body, and more importantly for some, they have upped their performance offering. Perhaps the key aspect is that they can provide high-performance cars that are not solely available to millionaires and for the more ordinary person.
Owning a dream car is slowly becoming a reality with the features that they are introducing to their newer models, meaning we may see a shift in what people view as the ultimate car. However, with this being said, if someone were to win the lottery they would not choose a Nissan Maxima over a top of the range Ferrari or Mustang. However, the reality of owning a Ferrari is unrealistic for many. The closest you might get is to buy a used Ferrari for sale at a reasonable price.
Dream cars are very specific to the person in question. Some people would be more than happy with a car that has awesome BHP, while others want something that is increadibly pimped out and has all of the latest technology. The Ferrari F12 TDF is a 6.3 liter and does 0-60 in just 2.8 seconds. The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is a more affordable option and can do 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. The Apple CarPlay functionality is a major attraction for Apple lovers. The Ford Focus is a drifter’s paradise and is described as the look of a family car with the ability of a racing car, therefore, if you’re a family driver by day and a racer by night then maybe this is the car that you will be looking for.
Dream cars tend to viewed as unattainable. However, these rises in everyday luxury cars are becoming more and more alluring, and allow a happy medium to those you cannot obtain that dream Porsche or Ferrari.
