New Rilia SXR 125 (Suzuki Burgman Street-Rival) starts soon

The new Rilia SXR 125 will be released soon. The upcoming Suzuki Burgman Street The rival was listed on the company’s Indian website. The pre-reservations for the new 125ccm maxi-scooter are now open. Interested buyers can reserve one online.

The new SXR 125 looks identical to its older sibling, the SXR 160.

The new SXR 125 is powered by a 124.45 cc single cylinder engine. The air-cooled engine has a SOHC and 3 valves. It has been set to produce a maximum power of 9.52 hp at 7600 rpm and a maximum torque of 9.2 Nm at 6250 rpm. In comparison, the Suzuki Burgman Street has a maximum power of 8.7 hp and a maximum torque of 10 Nm.

In terms of design, the upcoming SXR 125 will feature its older sibling, the Rilia SXR 160 that was launched in the Indian market last December. The new 125cc model will share the same design and styling features. It will be equipped with an attractive LED headlight assembly with integrated LED daytime running lights, a circumferential large LED rear light with characteristic lighting and a sporty exhaust. With its Italian design, the new maxi scooter seems poised to hit the Indian market by storm, competing with Suzuki Burgman Street and the like.

As for pricing, it is speculated that the SXR 125 would be priced in the INR 1.10 lakh * – INR, although Rilia has not disclosed any details on the 1.20 lakh * range. The most expensive variant of its closest rival, Suzuki Burgman Street, costs INR 86,200 *. So it would be interesting to see how the SXR 125 is doing in the price sensitive Indian market.
