Premium brand owned by car manufacturer Nissan announced today that it would introduce for the first time in its range a turbodiesel engine. Formal presentation of the new models will take place next month at the Geneva Motor Show.

German manufacturer of sports cars introduced to the market a new 3.6 liter V6 engine for Porsche Panamera model.
This new 3.6-liter V6 engine is capable of generating 300 horsepower (220 kW) and 400 Nm of torque and will be available for Panamera and Panamera 4 models, which will debut this year at the Beijing Auto Show on April 23.

In terms of effectiveness, the new V6 engine for the Porsche Panamera and Panamera 4 would consume less than 10 liters per 100 km thanks to the Porsche Double-Clutch gearbox and Auto Start Stop system. (more…)

Ford pull hard on the innovation and comes with EcoBoost engine of 2.0 liters, four cylinders and gear box with clutch double to six reports.
New technology incorporated in EcoBoost propeller is said to reduce fuel consumption by 10-20%, improve power transmission to the wheels with 7-9%, that for an engine that apparently will not be less than 230HP. All this will occur in the year of grace 2010.
What promise new propeller performance (similar to those of a 3.0-liter V6) it seems that they will soon find place models Focus, Fiesta or Fusion, at least in the U.S.

After four years of domination, BMW International Engine of the Year had lost the prize. The winner? Volkswagen, with its 1.4 TSI. Moreover, the engine of the surcharge in Wolfsburg and has won in the category Green Engine of the Year. Competition jury was composed of 65 journalists from 32 countries. But to see all the winners:

Brabus mounted on new SL the most powerful engine they had, the one from Brabus Rocket. This is a V12 bi-turbo of 6.3 liters that produces 730 hp and with 5 speeds automatic gear box.
The new SL accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.5 seconds and the maximum speed is of 350 km/h.
