Audi A1 e-tron present at Geneva Motor Show
Audi has introduced an electric version of its A1 is equipped with a rotary engine for increasing autonomy. The electric motor of this model delivers 61 hp and can provide up to 102 hp for a short period of time.

Audi will offer an electric version of its A1 at the Geneva Motor Show. The A1 is called e-tron and has a drive train similar to that of its Chevrolet Volt. They promise of 50 km autonomy in the elective grace 61 hp engine way.
The engine can provide 102 hp for a short period of time, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is accomplished in just 10 seconds. The Audi has placed the electric engine and all items related to it under the hood in place that would normally sit internal combustion propeller.

Recharging the batteries can be made at the outlet, or through the Wankel engine on board. It has only 254 cubic centimeters and a single rotor, so is small enough to be placed on the floor of A1.

Audi’s A1 e-tron batteries have a capacity of 12kWh and are located under the back seat, along with its Wankel engine. The Wankel engine is not first in the history, the Germans from Audi presented first car featuring NSU production in the world with a rotary engine in 1964. Subsequently, those from the NSU merged with Auto Union, which includes the Audi, on the only mark that remained standing in this group.
