BMW Concept Gran Coupe

BMW Company launched the Concept Gran Coupe on the 23rd of April 2010 at the China Vehicle Exhibition. This new design blends the four door car and a unique sporty look and also demonstrating the fundamental values of the brand. Like any other BMW, it has got an elongated wheelbase, domed bonnet with forwarding directed lines, a setback greenhouse, an even profile and a drop top styled ceiling line.

Its whole back section looks leaner and weightless at its centre, though still releasing power and varying performance since its volume is strengthened towards the wings. BMW has not revealed any engine or interior specifications of this car.

Mercedes-Benz F800 Style Concept

The F800 incorporates a Plug-in Hybrid system which allows it to run on both petrol and electric fuel cells. It has a DISTRONIC PLUS system which allows it to follow the car ahead of it and helps in curve negotiation. This is seven speed transmissions, V6 direct fuel injection petrol engine. It has a total power of 409 horsepower, 300horsepower petrol and 109horsepower electric module. The F800 can accelerate from 0-60mph in 4.7 sec. The electric cells can run solely for 18miles and can attain a top speed of 75mph.

Audi A8 Hybrid Concept Car

This is a petrol electric hybrid engine set to be released to the market in 2011. The A8 comes with a 2.0litre 4 cylinder engine with however the power of a V6 engine. It has a total power of 245 horsepower when summed with the 45 horsepower electric motor. Its energy storage is mounted in the back where there is a Lithium-ion battery.

The car can accelerate from 0-60mph in 7.5sec and has a maximum speed of 146mph. Its torque is 480Nm and has a fuel consumption of 6.2litres per 100km.

2010 Renault Kangoo Z.E Concept

This is an entirely electric vehicle that is powered by a 70kW electric motor and has a torque of 226Nm. The energy is derived from a Lithium-ion battery which can run for up to 8 hours when fully charged but can just work domestic with a quick charge. The car can attain a top speed of 130km/h.

This vehicle also comes with solar panels fitted on its roof and they serve a purpose of temperature regulation inside the car. This vehicle is expected on the market in 2011. It is light weighted weighing only 1520kg.

Mitsubishi PX-MiEV

This outstanding 4 seater Mitsubishi is topping the list of concept cars. It is 4.5m long and 1.8m wide. It comes with an interior with advanced seat upholstery that detects any allergens. It uses heat reflective glass and a light paint for a cooler interior. Each seat has an air conditioner.

Safety features include a driver monitoring system that uses a camera to detect drowsy eyes. Its crossover is a 4 wheel drive with 1.6 double overhead engine and 2 motors. It can run in all electric or gasoline-electric modes. In electric, has a 30mile range.
